1964 Corvette
This car came from a another shop that was only going to paint the body, but did not want to do the rest. When the frame came to us it was rusted and cracked all the way through were it starts to go up and over the axles in the rear. Once that was fixed the frame was blasted and painted black. After the paint dried, a Stainless Steel Brakes replacement disc brake kit was added, along with rebuilt drum brakes for the rear, and all ss hard lines were run for brakes and both fuel lines. A ss fuel injection tank from Rock Valley was installed. The motor of choice was a zz350 with a Richmond 6sd transmission. Mark at Street & Performance was called for one of his all chrome TPI systems along with a all chrome serpentine belt system w/out power steering. On a Vette you have to run side pipes so we used Hooker chrome side pipe headers and Hooker 4" side pipes with no muffler to start with. A Be Cool cooling system with dual electric fans, was installed, along with a Hot Rod Air a/c system specific for the Vette, and a bulk head fitting. Polished aluminum hard lines and polished fittings for the a/c and polished billet ends for the radiator hoses and Aeroquip ss braided lines for the heater were installed. When all of the mechanical work was done the body was brought over from the other shop. When we were taping the fire wall up to fill in the heater box hole, the tape came off with the fresh paint stuck to it, the customer was notified, and he decided to let us do the whole car. The body work was totally redone, all of the edges were rounded off instead of being square, the gapes were all uneven, and the panels did not line up flush, all of this was taken care of.
